Now let’s move to the important part of the whole process of the recipe, that is to say, to tell you the directions to follow carefully in order not to mess up the whole baking and home cooking thing.

Directions are as follow :

  • Preheat oven to 350°, then spray your loaf or muffin pan with nonstick spray (some oil for instance would help) also spray it with some flour.

  • Mix together in your mixer using a paddle of the eggs, eggnog, rum, sugar, vanilla, and butter. The latter ingredient -the butter I mean- will keep being clumpy but that is not a big deal.
  • In another bowl and using an appropriate sieve, sift the flour, pudding mix, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt too. (See the ingredients in the following picture)
  • Careful! do not mix over and over and put in mind that it is expected from the butter to remain clumpy; it will melt during the cooking process. Be ready for something, the dough will thicken, then what you will have to do is to put it into your previously prepared pans.
  • After that, start baking the mini loaves for around 30 minutes or even more up to seeing toothpicks coming out clean. Usually and normally, a loaf pan takes between 45 to 55 minutes. (Check out the progress before the glazing of the loaves down below)

Now we go to prepare the rum glaze for our eggnog bread to make it so delicious and tasty, the ingredients are

(See the picture of ingredients of the rum glaze)
